| Note* | He 2) Scots Ancestry Research Society:"The old parochial registers of St. Fergus were next searched from the commencement of their burial records in 1784 for the death of Andrew Smith and the following entry was found to have been recorded, thus:- "March 5th, 1790 Andrew Smith from the Parish of Peterhead was buried this day." --3rd September 1974 Scots Ancestry Research Society: "The old parochial registers of Strichen and of St. Fergus were next searched, between 1710 and 1731, for the birth of Andrew Smith, and the only such entry found to have been recorded, in the old parochial registers of St. Fergus, was as follows:- "28th December 1723 Alexander Smith and Anna Reid in Burnhead had a son baptized called Andrew." ---3rd September, 1974. |
