If you want stories to tell your grandchildren, I can give you a few. Your grandma Judd's mother (Patience Robinson) died when she (Elizabeth Shelp) was 12 years old. She left 10 children from 2 to 20 years old and an infant was buried with her. Her father (William Shelp) married again and her step mother was like one you read about in books. When she went away with William she had a chest she locked up sugar, flour etc. The children had to live on potatoes and salt pork. One time when they were away Aunt Laura and her husband came for a visit and he broke open the chest. Of course it got around the town but that did not bother the step mother any. She had given one of the girls a thimble and the step mother had locked it up in the chest. She also tool an elbow out so that a fire could not be built. Grandpa Shelp was a ME minister and was away a lot and the children never told what went on while he was away. Patience Robinson was the one your father (Leon Juddd) thought had Indian blood. I have seen her picture and in looks she did look a lot like the Indians.
