St Charles church Otter Lake was the scene of a pretty wedding recently when Miss Lucy Dagenais daughter of Mr and Mrs Joseph Dagenais Otter Lake became the bride of Raoul Castonguay son of Mr and Mrs Joseph Castonguay of Renfrew. Officiating at the marriage was Rev Father P Martineau parish priest of Otter Lake.
Given in marriage by Mr George Peever of Renfrew, the bride was charming in a gown of french white imported crepe made on long princess lines with v-neckline and leg of mutton sleeves pointed over the fingertips. A halo of velvet orange blossoms held in place a full length veil of french silk embrodered tulle. Her nosegay consisted of briarelike roses lily of the valley and ferns. The bridesmaid Miss Beatrice Liely of Renfrew was gowned in fusheu french crepe made floorlength with long sleeves and black accessories. She carried a bouquet of johanna hill roses lily of the valley and ferns. Acting as best man was the bridegroom's brother.
After the ceremony a dinner was served at the home of the bride's parents to about 75 guests. Later they motored to Renfrew where a reception was held at the bridegroom's home. Out of town guests at the reception were Mr and Mrs N Dubeau, Mr and Mrs Joseph Leclair, Mr and Mrs Henry Dagenais, Mrs and Mrs Joseph Lence, Mr and Mrs Edward Vadneau all of Otter Lake. The groom's gift to the bride was a small gold cross and chain. They have taken up residence in Renfrew. 
Death*1962 Raoul J Castonguay died in 1962. 
Burial* He was buried at St Francis Xavier Cemetery, Renfrew, Renfrew County, Ontario
