Note* He Peacefully on Saturday, September 20th, 2003 at Extendicare Nursing Home in Schumacher of Mr. William (Bill) Dagenais aged 85 years formerly of South Porcupine. Beloved husband of Margaret. Loving father of Albert (Butch) McMillan(wife Margo) of South Porcupine, Carole (Mrs. Yvon Hamelin) of Sydenham and Paul Dagenais of Gibson Lake. Cherished grandfather of 8 grandchildren. Bill was predeceased by brothers Louis and Delphese, and sisters Olive Gerereux, Rose Dillon and Alma Dagenais. He was born in Charlton, Ontario and was a longtime resident of the Porcupine Camp having been employed by Dome Mines Ltd.,then Kidd Creek until his retirement in 1982. Bill had served overseas during the Last Great War with the Canadian Armed Forces and enjoyed many activities at the family cottage on Gibson Lake. Remembrances in his memory will be graciously received through the funeral home to The Cochrane District Lung Association. A private family service will be held on Tuesday, September 23rd, 2003 with father Mitch Sliwa officiating. Interment will follow in Whitney Cemetery. Arrangements entrusted to the Stinson Funeral Home, 100 Bruce Ave., South Porcupine.
